There are 12 comments on Snowstorm Closes Charles River Campus, Final Exams Go Remote

  1. So, does “all administrative activities for Charles River Campus employees are canceled” mean that if we are working remotely due to the pandemic, but we would normally report to the CRC for work if not for the pandemic, we have a snow day tomorrow and are not expected to work?

      1. Is the university planning to contact staff or send something out that is a little more clear on that? (That has typically been the approach on snow days)

    1. Except for essential services and services supporting final exams and projects, staff in Charles River Campus administrative units are not required to work remotely tomorrow.

  2. I can’t believe the school expect clinical staff and students to work when shuttle buses are not even running and there are no street parking. How do you expect your employees and students to come to work?

    1. Students in need of parking have access to parking for $12/day, space permitting, at the DOB Garage, 720 Harrison Ave. To pay this rate, students must present their student BU ID along with their ticket to the cashier in order to pay before returning to their vehicle.

Employees who are not enrolled in the parking program can reserve parking in advance at the Crosstown Garage, 7 Melnea Cass Blvd, for $17.50 using Spot Hero:

      1. Yes, for biochem 421, the professor says he will schedule a makeup day for either Friday or Saturday and students unwilling to attend will receive an incomplete for the class.

  3. Do you expect testing and processing centers to be open all day tomorrow (Fri 12/18)? Should we anticipate delays in processing, and if so, any estimate of how long?
